What makes the ANPA different and why should I join?
The Australian Naturopathic Practitioners Association is solely devoted to naturopaths and the issues that affect them. We are the leading voice for naturopaths in Australia. Since 1975 we have supported the issues relating to naturopathy in Australia. The ANPA committee is democratically elected from the membership. All committee members making decisions that affect you are in practice themselves. They have first-hand experience and understand the issues that may be affecting you on a daily basis in your practice. We continue to be the voice for naturopaths in ...
Many additional benefits include: ANPA website with discussion board, Professional naturopathy journal, ANPA e-Newsletter keeps you up to date with current issues, reduced rates at ANPA educational workshops, special section in the e-newsletter for student naturopaths, ANPA chapter meetings etc.
Is the ANPA a national association?
Yes, we have ANPA members in all states across Australia.
Is there anything to support me financially as a newly graduated naturopath just setting up my practice?
We are acutely aware of the budgetary demands required to set up a practice. Because of this we have structured our membership fees for new graduates on reduced and pro-rata basis. Additionally, as an ANPA student member some of the fees are waived. See more specific details on the membership application or call the office at your convenience.
How competitive is the pricing you offer for Professional Indemnity Insurance?
The ANPA is a member of the FNTT (Federation of Natural and Traditional Therapists). They are an umbrella organisation and have been able to negotiate significant reductions in premiums for ANPA members. Fees are comparable in the marketplace. See more details on the downloadable membership application.
I am student naturopath, what benefits will I get if I join the ANPA?
We welcome all student naturopaths. We understand the demand on you as a student. We also understand that the issues for students are different than for graduated naturopaths. As the leading association for naturopaths in Australia we want to support you as you achieve your full qualification and enter the profession of naturopathy. Joining ANPA will automatically offer you the networking with other members of the association, possible mentoring options, access to the ANPA website, reduced fees to attend ANPA educational events, opportunities for work experience and or employment. The ANPA e-newsletter will have a devoted section to issues that affect students.
If there are issues that you feel we should be aware of please contact the office.
I am a full member naturopath of another association, does ANPA has a level of membership that I can apply for?
Yes, we have a special category of membership “Secondary Member” that entitles a full naturopath member of another association to join ANPA at significantly reduced rates. The full membership of the other association must be verified in applying for this category. The benefits you would access would be all those of a full member except you would not have any voting rights.
